(LANKAPUVATH | COLOMBO) – Minister of Power and Energy Kanchana Wijesekera has taken steps to brief all relevant parties on the Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB) restructuring roadmap approved by the Cabinet of Ministers and the proposed time frame.
Accordingly, the Minister has held a discussion on the restructuring plans of CEB with the Technical Engineers and Superintendents Association and the reforms committee members yesterday (April 19).
The engineers submitted their proposals for the restructuring process and found that there are many similarities in principle between their proposals and the proposed restructuring plan.
The proposals by the reforms committee was principally agreed by the Union as most of the proposals were in line with their proposal that they had submitted.
In a tweet, Minister Wijesekera said the Engineers and Superintendents union emphasized on a transparent mechanism in implementing reforms and proposed mechanisms on human resource management, employee benefits and improving efficiency.
