Chinese delegation explores Investment opportunities in Sri Lanka’s Power and Energy sectors

(LANKAPUVATH | COLOMBO) –  Investment opportunities in the Power and Energy sectors in Sri Lanka were presented to the Energy sector companies of the Chinese Chamber of commerce during a meeting led by Minister of Power and energy Kanchan Wijesekera today (29) at the Ministry.

On the request of the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in Sri Lanka, investment opportunities and Government policies on Renewable Energy, Power sector reforms, oil & gas exploration, green hydrogen, refinery operations, petroleum sector developments were discussed at the meeting, Minister Wijesekera said.

Officials of the Chinese Embassy, Officials of Ministry of Power and Energy, Ceylon Electricity Board, LECO, Sustainable Energy Authority, Ceylon Petroleum Corporation, Petroleum Ceylon Petroleum Storage Terminal Ltd., Petroleum Resources Development Authority participate in this event.
