Sri Lanka Foreign Ministry, IOM repatriate 12 Sri Lankans migrant workers stranded in Somaliland

(COLOMBO, LANKAPUVATH) –The Foreign Affairs Ministry of Sri Lanka with the assistance of the International Organization for Migration (IOM) has taken measures to bring back 12 Sri Lankan migrant workers stranded in Somaliland.

Journalists’ scholarship upped to Rs. 200,000

(COLOMBO, LANKAPUVATH) – The Finance and Mass Media Ministry has taken steps to increase the Asi Disi Media Scholarship payment to Rs.200,000 from this year. Earlier the ministry provided the scholarship with a maximum limit of Rs.100,000 to journalists following media-related study programmes at recognised institutions.
