USAID, FAO work with government to boost rice-based ecosystem productivity in Sri Lanka

(LANKAPUVATH | COLOMBO) – The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), in collaboration with the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), is working together with the Ministry of Agriculture to increase the productivity and resilience of the rice-based ecosystems in the Dry and Intermediate Zones of Sri Lanka.

Low-income farmer families to receive Rs. 15,000 subsidy under USAID assistance from January

(LANKAPUVATH | COLOMBO) – With the assistance provided by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), the government has decided to give a subsidy of 15,000 rupees (42 dollars) per family to low-income rice farming families in 07 districts of the country for their livelihood development.
