The authorities found the letter on her living room table. “A handwritten note that was pessimistic about her life was found on a living room table,” said commissioner of the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency Lee Yong-pyo. The authorities refrained from disclosing the details of her letter in the press.

Her death also comes weeks after her best friend Sulli passed away. At the time, Hara took part in a live-streaming video and shared her heartbreaking reaction to her death. “I will live twice more diligently now that you are gone. Dear fans, I will be fine. Don’t worry about me,” she said in the video.
