FM wants wider job opportunities for university ‘left outs’

(COLOMBO, LANKAPUVATH) –Since only a minute 25,000 students out of nearly 222,500 students passing the GCE Advanced Level Examination qualify for university admission, wider opportunities should be made available to the balance 200,000 or so to obtain employment in the technology field, Finance and Mass Media Minister Mangala Samaraweera said.

Colombo High Court Re-Issues Notice To President and Prime Minister

(COLOMBO, LANKAPUVATH) –The Colombo High Court today (24) re issued notice to President Maithripala Sirisena and Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe to appear before the court on October 9th over the case filed against the General Secretary of the United National Party (UNP), Tissa Attanayake who has been accused of allegedly fabricating documents during last Presidential elections.
