(COLOMBO, LANKAPUVATH) – The Police Special Task Force seized 83,000 liters of illicit liquor following a raid, today (15).
On the information of a tip-off, the police Special Task Force conducted a raid on an illegal Toddy brewery in Kaluamodara, Aluthgama.
A suspect (55) was arrested by the Police.
83,000 liters of confiscated Toddy was handed over to the Aluthgama Excise Department, the Police media said.
In addition, a sample of the apprehended Toddy had been sent to the Government Analyst.
Police are currently carrying out further investigations.
