(COLOMBO, LANKAPUVATH) – The Committee of Experts appointed to study the methods of disposal of bodies of persons died due to COVID-19 virus infection has requested the Ministry of Health to continue the cremation until a final report is submitted.
The request was made to the Secretary to the Ministry of Health, Director General of Health Services Dr. Asela Gunawardena said yesterday (22).
Earlier, Health Minister Pavithra Wanniarachchi had said that a decision on the burial of decedents with COVID-19 virus would be taken after the committee submits its final report.
