President Wickremesinghe leaves for Germany on an official visit

(LANKAPUVATH | COLOMBO) – Sri Lankan President Ranil Wickremesinghe has left the island on a four-day official visit to Germany, the President’s Media Division said.

The President and the 12-member delegation have left the Bandaranaike International Airport early this morning.

President Wickremesinghe is on this trip to participate in the ‘Berlin Global Dialogue’, where the President is also scheduled to make the opening remarks at the Leaders Dialogue session on the first day of the conference.

The Berlin Global Dialogue to find global solutions to the current geopolitical and economic challenges is scheduled to be held on the 28th and 29th in Berlin, Germany.

During his four-day visit President Wickremesinghe hold talks with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz on a number of topics. He is also scheduled to hold discussions with several political and business leaders.

President Ranil Wickramasinghe is scheduled to return to Sri Lanka on October 1.
